BIOGRAPHY
"It wasn't until my freshman
year in college that I discovered how exciting art
can be. High School provided some art training, but it wasn't until
the influence of my foundation art teacher in college that I found purpose
in my art. That teacher was Leon Parson. I declared my major as Fine
Art and graduated from Ricks College with my associates degree. After
serving for 18 months on an LDS mission in San Francisco, I returned
to school at Brigham Young University. At this time I was very interested
in studying health and wellness, and wanted to pursue a degree in Health
Science. However my love for art changed that plan. I entered the illustration
program and loved it! During this time I learned of many artists that
came to be my inspiration. Some of my favorites among the many are Burt
Silverman, William Whitaker, Franklin Booth, Norman Rockwell, and Leon
Parson. It was during this time that I met Michael Parker who was also
studying in the illustration program. We were married in May 2004 and
we both graduated with our BFA in illustration in August 2004. Today
we both continue doing freelance illustration. We have a new baby girl
named Natalie. We love life's adventures, and plan on doing as much
as possible with our art."
